Buckingham Palace issues sad update after King Charles’ cancer remark

Royal family released an emotional statement after King Charles’ rare comments about cancer during the headline-making Ireland visit.

Palace officials shared that Queen Camilla held a special meeting with domestic abuse survivors at Hillsborough Castle after her husband shared key advice with cancer patients.

According to a message released on the royal family’s official Instagram account, “The @PoliceService.NI receive a report of domestic abuse every 16 minutes and a sexual offence every 2 hours.”

The Palace’s spokesperson further shared, “This afternoon at Hillsborough Castle, The Queen convened survivors and those who work to support them, from across Northern Ireland.”

Notably, the royal family issued a sad update on Queen Camilla’s engagement after King Charles’ heartfelt admission to cancer patients.

During his visit to the cancer research centre at Ulster University’s Coleraine campus, the monarch said, “What’s that Winston Churchill saying? Keep buggering on.” The monarch added, “You just have to push on, don’t you.”

It is important to note that King Charles and Queen Camilla are currently in Northern Ireland for their annual tour.
