Kanye West’s ex-partner Adidas gets victory in court

Court rules in Adidas’ favour over Kanye West-related lawsuit

Kanye West had a long partnership with Adidas; together, they created mega-hit products. But it all came to a halt when the Chicago rap star began anti-Semitic outbursts in 2022.

But decoupling with Ye had far-reaching consequences for the company, as it faced striking losses, given that the Yeezy line is one of its prized assets.

On the heels of this, another shock happened. Several shareholders who lost money after the shares dipped at the end of the partnership with Kanye took the firm to court, alleging they were aware of the Grammy winner’s alleged misconduct but swept it under the carpet until it could no longer be hidden.

But now a San Francisco court ruled that it did not find the sportswear giant misled the group of investors, noting that a “reasonable investor would understand the inherent volatility of a celebrity-driven partnership.”

It is worth noting that Adidas donated proceeds of over €1 billion from the Yeezy shoes it was left with after cutting ties with Ye to organizations combating hate.

Meanwhile, his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, reveals a shocking claim that he accused her of lying about a robbery she faced in Paris in 2016.

“My ex-husband had said, ‘And you faked your robbery for a TV show,’ and had said that in front of all these people,” the Skims mogul claims during The Kardashians’ new episode, adding, “That was a knife to my heart.”

She continues, “Just to think that someone wouldn’t believe you — that’s so close to you, that should know you, that should know how much that affected your life — it just really bothered me. You don’t know who I am.”

Earlier this year, ten individuals were found guilty in a trial that also saw Kim return to Paris to attend it.
